Our DiSnEyLaNd vacation!

First, I want to make a shout out to my mom. Our Disneyland vacation was a dream come true for us. I for years have wanted to take my kids to Disneyland but its very very expensive to take a family of 8 any where. We had such of an amazing time. The kids still can't quit talking about the things we saw and stuff we did. Karter is confused and wonders where our new car is and asks if we're going to Disneyland today, but one day he'll understand :) So THANK YOU mom for everything. Your awesome and we love you very much!

3 days before we were leaving Carsyn got sick, he had had a cough and runny nose for a few days so we just thought he had a cold. The cough got worse and accomplishing anything was impossible. Carsyn wanted to be held all the time. I took him in and he was tested positive for RSV. I was a worried wreck. The RSV could turn into pneumonia in an instant, he could be hospitalized. We were extra careful who he was around and we didn't take him anywhere. He was on breathing treatments and antibiotics for a week. Luckily the doctor told us we were still able to go on our vacation.
With our flight leaving at 7:05am Valentines Day morning, we knew we would have to get up early so we packed the night before. Brad and I finally fell asleep around midnight, only to get back up at 3am to make sure all the final stuff was done and things were packed. We woke each kid up, drug them into the cars and took off. We were at the airport by 5am. Security check went better than expected. Mom was such a help to make sure all the kids took off their shoes, she had all our tickets filed neatly away (Had she given them to me they would have been lost LOL) We had to put everything in buckets and get all carry on bags checked. We each had a carry on bag, and 15 checked in bags. I should have taken pictures of us adults trying to juggle kids and 15 pieces of luggage. We flew from SLC to Vegas then to Burbank. The traffic from LA to Buena Park was terrible. We think rush hour traffic is bad here, try Saturday 11am traffic there. CRAZY! Buena Park is located 10 miles from Disneyland. We had it made. We stayed across the street from Knotts Berry Farm.

This was the coolest airplane. First the people on the plane made the ride so fun with their humor. Then, we exit the plane like the president does. It was awesome.

Saturday the 14th we took my mom and us adults to dinner. We ate at this funny place called Po Folks. It was set up to be this red neck place but it had really good food.

Sunday the 15th was our first day to Disneyland. We had 3 days to spend in Disneyland and 2 to spend at Universal and one day at the Beach. The first few days we were in Cali it was raining, so the second day of Disneyland we braved the rain and went. It quit raining. YAY!

Goofy, Carsyn and Whit. Carsyn just stared at all the characters. Not in fear, but probably wondering what the heck?!?!

The boys waiting in line for Its a small world.

This picture is funny, the lady who acted as Cruela De Vil was so good, accent and all. The kids walked up to get their picture with her and she was so grouchy. She said, "On a leash just like they should be!" (Cause Karter had that monkey thing on his back and we hold on to the tail so he doesn't get lost) then as they all gathered around her she said "My god dear, how many do you need? You have enough for a small army!" LOL

Some of the clan in Toon Town.

This guy off Monsters Inc. Stopped by to see Karter during the parade in California Adventures.

Hanny Manny loved Carsyn. It was so awesome to see these characters get down on the kids level instead of being in a hurry.

The kids with Hanny Manny

The boys with Mr. Incredible. I have another picture where Mr. Incredible takes Karters money tail leash thing and starts walking away with him. Karter looked back like, wow this is cool but I'm so scared at the same time :)

This was a fun fun ride. Probably one of my favorites.

I think he has got to be my favorite :) He even acted sad. It was cute.

The other kids were braving big kid rides that Karter or Carsyn couldn't go on.

This is how happy Carsyn was pretty much the entire time we were gone!

Brad braving the dangerous bugs life bumper cars. He wanted to make sure Karter was ok.

Wink Wink.

Whit standing by the "ladybug" in Its a bugs life land or whatever it was called :)
